Unfortunately in recent weeks there have been problems with emails both to and from the LBH mailboxes.
Mails to results@lbhcba.org from Gmail senders was not being delivered. The 'results' address should be forwarded to lbhcba@gmail.com but, for reasons that are not entirely clear, this failed and senders were sent a bounce message. But many spam-filters regard all such messages as phishing attempts and senders were often unaware. Accordingly I switched to the base Gmail address for communications.
Then mails that should have been generated by web-form actions (ex. results, entries) by the server started to fail. Initially this was thought to be a problem with mobile devices but now that is uncertain. Like the problem above, this failure was intermittent. I contacted the host but there have been no updates or changes. I have done my best to track it down and again, the likelihood is that Google is involved: both disruptions bear the hallmark of increasing security and attempts to circumvent email abuse.
To address this the web form no longer uses the Gmail server but the unsecured mail server on the website. Paradoxically Google seem to allow (and by that I mean deliver) emails claiming to be from lbhcba@gmail.com even though I am spoofing the address – when they won't if I login with proper accreditation. How long this state of affairs will persist I do not know.
But at the time of writing, submissions from the website are now working again.

Panic over!
The draws of 22nd November have been reinstated.
Thanks to Mark Newton, ever helpful man in charge of ECats who host this site. He was able to retrieve backups and restore the files. I will have to do some (careful) work behind the scenes so that the KO results are processed properly but it's no more than I deserve. There might be a delay in posting KO (not league) matches.

Plate and Cup Draws
Both Plate and Cup draws have been accidentally corrupted and the original fixtures posted below (and until today) lost.
Unfortunately there is no way of recreating the draw except by appeal to the teams involved. I would be very grateful if you could write to with the details of your fixture. This will almost certainly mean that the draws for round 3 will be another random draw.
I am very sorry for the inconvenience.

Plate and Cup Draws
There is one match still to play but the draw for the second rounds in both Cup and Plate have now been made. The first round can still be seen and used but now the links from the left-hand navigation go to the competitions proper.
The next round should be complete by Friday 13th January 2017 … a generous allowance on an extra month as I might have made the draw earlier.
27-October-2016
New Team
Welcome to Canary Wharf a new club and a new team in Division Five.
They heard about the LBH only recently but have moved with speed and enthusiasm to join the League. They have already made contact with other teams in their division.
