Website Offline

This site was offline from after noon yesterday until late afternoon today. This was caused by a hardware failure ("The main firewall in the rack went bang…") but normal service should now be resumed. Apologies for inconvenience, thanks to those who alerted us.

Update: the results submission form is out of action – it's being looked into.

(2016-04-13 19:30) "There is definitely an issue Chris. I'm working on it. I will email you when I have a fix."

Working again! Please use the web form again for submitting results. The problems were caused by the new firewall not accepting the backup of setting from an older version thus necessitating manual reapplication. Well, you wanted to know…

Masterpoint awards for 2014-15

The Masterpoint awards for last season have just been made but only to players with known EBU Numbers. Captains will have been sent a 'statement' saying who got what.

As last year the submission has been done online using the system primarily designed for clubs. To award the right MPs an 'event' has been created which is an 'individual' – and that's how it will be appear on everyone's membership record. The 'results' also look different because there are no scores – everyone got zero. Needless to say, this will have no impact on NGS.

The awards should be made in the EBU's January monthly run thereby falling in the 2015 MP-year.

Knockouts

Hold the front page! Knockout draw made early shock!

Although there is one match still to play – and until the end of the month to play it – the draw for the second round, the first in the Gainsborough Plate, has been made. The first round can still be seen and used but now the links from the left-hand navigation go to the competitions proper.

The next round should be complete by year-end.
